OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To bring understanding of the practices of sustainable living to 10,000 people on the South Coast and Southern Highlands of NSW within the next 12 months.

THE CHALLENGE

To continue this rural education concept beyond the first 12 months, so that real reduction levels of carbon emissions can be achieved through informed changes of behaviour in our wider communities

The forum is a noT-FOR-profit,  ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE EVENT travelling exhibition AND LECTURE EVENT AIMED AT IMPROVING THE COMMUNITy'S ACCESS TO IDEAS FOR SUSTAINABLE HOUSING AND LIVING. IT WILL ALSO HOST AN EXHIBITION OF PRODUCTS FOR SUSTAINABLE HOUSING, AND THEIR AVAILABILITY TO COUNTRY RESIDENTS.

tHIS hands on forum  AND LECTURE PROGRAM  IS ALSO  OPENED  TO SCHOOL CHILDREN IN ALL TOWNS VISITED.

THESE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE CHANCE TO ENTER A COMPETITION TO BE IN THE RUNNING FOR THE FX LARKIN SCHOLARSHIP. THIS UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP AIMS TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS WHO MEET THE ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS FOR ENTRY TO W.U. TO UNDERTAKE EDUCATION LINKED TO SUSTAINABILITY.

We are planning to bring the Forum to an estimated 10,000 Country residents over the next 12 months. By bringing to the country districts this innovative Forum and the changes of habit it can bring, we believe that saving energy and water and reducing greenhouse gases can become a reachable goal.

This new travelling forum HAS expandED the area of exposure to the great ideas and products previously showcased in Berry 2006, 2007  with new developments in many areas and subjects.

each forum attracted over  2,000 interested people. with increased public awareness of climate change, we would project much higher attendances at our new and exciting forums.

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE
