OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To bring understanding of the practices of sustainable living to 10,000 people on the South Coast and Southern Highlands of NSW within the next 12 months.
THE CHALLENGE
To continue this rural education concept beyond the first 12 months, so that real reduction levels of carbon emissions can be achieved through informed changes of behaviour in our wider communities
The forum is a noT-FOR-profit, ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE EVENT travelling exhibition AND LECTURE EVENT AIMED AT IMPROVING THE COMMUNITy'S ACCESS TO IDEAS FOR SUSTAINABLE HOUSING AND LIVING. IT WILL ALSO HOST AN EXHIBITION OF PRODUCTS FOR SUSTAINABLE HOUSING, AND THEIR AVAILABILITY TO COUNTRY RESIDENTS.
tHIS hands on forum AND LECTURE PROGRAM IS ALSO OPENED TO SCHOOL CHILDREN IN ALL TOWNS VISITED.
THESE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE CHANCE TO ENTER A COMPETITION TO BE IN THE RUNNING FOR THE FX LARKIN SCHOLARSHIP. THIS UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP AIMS TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS WHO MEET THE ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS FOR ENTRY TO W.U. TO UNDERTAKE EDUCATION LINKED TO SUSTAINABILITY.
We are planning to bring the Forum to an estimated 10,000 Country residents over the next 12 months. By bringing to the country districts this innovative Forum and the changes of habit it can bring, we believe that saving energy and water and reducing greenhouse gases can become a reachable goal.

This new travelling forum HAS expandED the area of exposure to the great ideas and products previously showcased in Berry 2006, 2007 with new developments in many areas and subjects.
each forum attracted over 2,000 interested people. with increased public awareness of climate change, we would project much higher attendances at our new and exciting forums.

WELCOME TO THE IDEA THAT WE CAN ALL CONTRIBUTE TO REDUCING CARBON EMISSIONS AND THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON OUR UNIQUE BUT EMBATTLED EARTH.

THE FOUR SEASONS FORUM IS AN IMPORTANT EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR COUNTRY RESIDENTS,OFTEN DISADVANTAGED BY DISTANCE FROM CITY CENTRES.
IT ALLOWS "ON THE DOORSTEP" ACCESS TO SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION AND PRODUCT PURCHASE FOR THEIR HOMES, GARDENS, TRANSPORT AND LIFESTYLE.
IT HAS HELPED MORE HOUSEHOLDS TO SAVE WATER AND POWER AND REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS.
ALL LECTURERS ARE QUALIFIED IN THEIR SUBJECTS, ARCHITECTS, DESIGNERS AND PRACTITIONERS.
ALL EXHIBITORS HAVE WORKING MODELS OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND IDEAS,
LOTS OF VISUAL AIDS AND QUALIFIED HELPFULL STAFF.
THE FORUM CO-ORDINATOR COLLABORATES WITH THE PRINCIPAL OF EACH LOCAL SCHOOL IN ALL TOWNS VISITED TO INVITE THEM TO SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FORUM.
STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ARE OFFERED SPECIAL ACCESS TO THE FORUM, WITH EXCURSIONS, LECTURE ATTENDANCE, SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT ASSISTANCE ETC
